If I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt

@PhotoDan of the PhotoCast is a Special Olympics Illinois Athlete and Global Messenger. And this is his inspiring speech about making a difference and transcending ignorant stereotypes. Dan shares a story of how a few of his teammates were angry that they lost and the coach said it’s not about winning about “let me win but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt”. I really like that (hence the title of this post). Dan also mentions Joe Biden’s stuttering.
Listen to Dan’s fantastic speech. And subscribe to his podcast because photography is fun! :)

Thanks so much for posting my podcast episode and podcast and for your kind words!

This was amazing. I just left feedback for the young man who spoke. It moved me to tears. Lst year, Ihelped 2 individuals with Down syndrome do some public speaking. It was a dream come true to them, and they did amazing. Not many people had the patience to work with them, but we kept at it and practiced for months. They rocked the house the day they spoke. And they keep doing it. Everyone one of us has amazing and unique talents that we bring to the world.
